About
Richard S. Jaffe, CPCC, ACC
For
over 30 years as a highly successful attorney, Richard
S. Jaffe, owner and founder of A Coach For Champions,
has prospered as a corporation president, a senior
partner and a sole proprietor. Currently owner and
senior partner of the law firm Jaffe, Strickland
and Drennan, with offices in Birmingham, Alabama,
and Atlanta Georgia, Richard is also licensed to
practice law in New York and Washington, D.C. He
has been board certified by the National Board of
Trial Advocacy as a Criminal Trial Specialist since
January 1984 and concentrates in areas of complex
criminal defense and Civil Rights litigation. Richard
was lead counsel in three cases in which death row
inmates in their new trials were exonerated. In
their new lives of freedom, they are now successfully
contributing to society.
In 2002, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association
honored past president Richard S. Jaffe with the Roderick
Beddow Award for lifetime achievements in criminal
defense. He currently serves on the Board of Directors
of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
He is a nationally recognized public speaker and makes
presentations on communication skills and human dynamics

Making an impact from coast to coast, Richard is a faculty member of the Death Penalty College at Santa Clara, California, the premier training program for death penalty lawyers. Having lectured across the country and published numerous articles and papers in connection with the training of attorneys, Richard is called upon frequently to comment on legal issues by television, radio and print media.
Richard is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
